As is conventional in this period, Mary puts one hand over her breast. But most medieval and later Annunciations put something between the two figures. This one not only omits any separating element but has Mary rise from her throne as if to approach the angel.

The Father can be seen in the upper left corner. Rays of light emanate from the quarter-circle enclosing him. A white dove flies along those rays as in other Annunciation images. It is easier to make out on the full resolution page.
